  1. Go to IELTS official website, https://ielts.ng/take-ielts/how-to-apply/
  2. Choose the IELTS test mode  (If you want a Computer-delivered IELTS or a Pen and paper-based IELTS)
  3. Choose the IELTS test type( Whether IELTS Academic or IELTS General Training)
  4. Click on ‘Book Now’
  5. Pick a date on which you are free to take your IELTS exam
  6. The dates available will appear in green color and your selected date will appear in black.
  7. Review your chosen date and click on ‘Book Now’
  8. Read the IELTS terms and conditions and click on ‘Accept’ to continue.
  9. Fill out all your personal details correctly, crosscheck before submitting.
  10. Also fill the available spaces with your address, why you are taking IELTS, occupation, nationality, first language, etc.
  11. Upload the first and last page of your passport ( Passport should be in the following format; JPG, JPEG, PNG, and PDF. 1mb as maximum upload, that means your passport document size should not exceed 1mb).
  12. There will be an option, where you are required to add 5 renowned organizations that will receive your score before you do, either electronically or by post.
  13. Before moving to the payment section, crosscheck all details you have given as mistakes are dangerous and payments made cannot be refunded.
  14. If all given information are correct, forge ahead to make your payment(IELTS registration payment).

What is computer delivered IELTS?

Due to the covid-19 pandemic and convenience in taking exams, IELTS exams can now be taken with a computer from your convenience. That means, you can take the exams from home or anywhere convenient for you online.

Note:Choosing the computer delivered exam option means that, the listening, reading and writing exam sections will be done on a computer, but the speaking section must still be carried out face to face with a trained IELTS examiner. The reason is because, the speaking section is really sensitive and a face to face section is the only valid and accurate way to determine your English speaking proficiency.

Also, someone might take the speaking exam for you, so to avoid exam malpractice, its better to do the speaking test face to face with a trained examiner.
